The Rootless Sovereign

Born rootless, Kai Lin was cast out by his clan as a worthless cripple. But the root the mirror could not see was the rarest of all — the Void Root, a forbidden power that devours every other root. With the remnant of the last Void Sovereign as his teacher, Kai rises from the bottom of a forbidden well to make his half-brother, his clan, and even the Seekers of the Heavens learn to fear the boy they threw away. A tale of forbidden power, revenge, and the hunger that underlies all cultivation.
